Our puppies bring us peace

The puppies have arrived.  Ch Westhaven's Bee-Yond Reproach, a.k.a. Squeezie, and Cache Retreat Laramie became the proud parents of 3 boys and one girl on September 25, 2008.  Click here to see them grow.

Who Dat's Freddy my Love, shown here at two weeks, is being embraced by his BIG brother.  Freddy, the small one in the center, was born with a minor cleft palate.  Our vet said it may close on its own and that he has a very good chance of survival with proper care during the first 4 weeks (due to being unable to make a suction and nurse normally).  He is now 4 and a half 5 weeks old and is doing well; gaining slow but steady.  We are growing more confident every day that this little guy will make it.  He is up and wrestling with the rest of the gang but lagging in growth by about 1 1/2 weeks (based on his progress as of 4.5 weeks)
